Role Summary:

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Product Management and Implementations Team for a talented and highly skilled and motivated IT professional to implement and configure and train end users on our market leading Cyber GRC platform SYNERGi.

The primary focus of the Junior Software Implementation Consultant will be to assist in the delivery of software implementations to clients in a range of sectors and managing critical aspects of implementation and delivery of the SYNERGi software on client projects.

The role will cover all aspects of the software implementation cycle including consultancy, requirements gathering, software configuration and implementation, and user training.  The Junior Software Implementation Consultant will be familiar and work with all modules of the SYNERGi software including; Governance, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Vendor Management, Business Continuity Management, IT Security Management and Business Intelligence, Reporting & Dashboards.

At the completion of a software license sale, the junior software implementation consultant will be expected to participate in early stage discussions on how, in what order and over what timeframe the software is to be implemented and delivered to clients.

Acting as an internal and external subject matter expert (SME) for the SYNERGi software within the business and across the customer base, the role requires extensive knowledge and experience of the implementation of Cyber Security related Governance, Risk and Compliance programmes in the industry.

Role responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Interacting and interfacing with customers to support the implementation of customer requirements, through the SYNERGi GRC Platform.
  • Analysing customer requirements and configuring the SYNERGi software to deliver specified solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Understand and deliver the requirements that have been agreed through the sales process.
  • Reconfirming the intended programme plan, identifying quick wins.
  • Capturing, analysing and documenting custom requirements at a high level for change requests from the client. In turn, liaising with the development team to understand the complexity and effort to deliver the custom requirements.
  • Assist customers with business modelling (e.g. carrying out assets identification exercises, defining the scope of the implementation, etc).
  • Assist customers with configuring custom workflows and business rules, to automate their processes into the platform.
  • Assist customers with defining and configuring user roles, groups and permissions (RBAC Model).
  • Provide onsite and remote user training and administering training to clients.
  • Assist clients, ensuring that the reporting and analysis output from SYNERGi meet customer requirements.
  • Training the customer in using SYNERGi’s REST API to generate custom reports and dashboards in third party business intelligence tools.
  • Create or assist in the creation of project plans to monitor and control the implementation and delivery of the SYNERGi software to customers.
  • Provide recommendations to the Product Management team for enhancements to the SYNERGi product as identified during client project implementations.
  • Monitor customer progress during initial deployment of the SYNERGi software and handover to the internal product support team.

In addition to the delivery process, the role requires the Junior Software Implementation Consultant to engage across all user bases, ensuring that customers are happy and that the software is being utilised efficiently.

 

The Junior Software Implementation Consultant will quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of the SYNERGi Solution and maintain knowledge of the Cyber Security industry best practices in addition to:

 

  • Communicating client feedback and industry updates to the product design team.
  • Assisting the account management team with customer retention & identifying upsell avenues for SYNERGi and other IRM services.
  • Assisting the Risk and Compliance consultants in the deployment of the software to their clients.
  • Assisting the sales team to conduct initial demos of the software to prospective clients.

 

This is a field-based role, and therefore, extensive UK travel will be required where appropriate.

 

Skills / Experience:

The following skills are required:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a cyber/information security function.
  • Good understanding of the software development processes and lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skill
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation.
  • Excellent time management skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with a GRC platform
  • Experience with software platforms/products, especially with regard to successful implementation and delivery.
  • Familiarity with implementing Software-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing and delivering software solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO27001, PCI DSS, SOX, DPA, COBIT, Cyber Essentials, ISO 90001, ISO 3100, ISO 22301, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Cyber Security industry.
  • Experience in using Business Intelligence tools, such as; MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
  • Project planning experience.
  • Ideally some training experience.

 

 

Role suitability:

Suited to customer success managers or cyber security analysts holding a sound understanding of software delivery and/or information security & risk management best practices. Also, able to work within a varied role assisting companies to improve their security maturity visibility with our software product, SYNERGi.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Bachelors degree (preferably in an IT or Business Systems related subject) and strong academic background is an advantage)

 

Desirable

Any of the following qualifications and certifications would be highly beneficial but not essential:

  • Prince2
  • Scrum Master
  • CISSP
  • CISMP
