IRM is a cybersecurity consultancy with a twenty year history of delivering world-class service to some of the UK’s biggest brands and organisations. Two years ago, IRM was acquired by the Altran Group – the world’s leading engineering and R&D Company, with around 45,000 employees around the globe and a turnover of around €3 billion.

Since the acquisition, we have moved into new and exciting areas of security, using Altran’s global account managers to welcome new clients through our doors.

We have opened satellite offices in locations including Portugal and Santa Clara as we begin to position ourselves as a global player in cybersecurity. With Altran’s backing, we aim to be the leading security testing company for the world’s largest engineering brands.

The Team 

The team is led by Matt Griffiths – Sales Director at IRM. Matt is a former Head of Information Security (Virgin Trains), and previous Director of Business Development for McLaren Applied. Matt is new to IRM and is set on making an impact and expanding on our team and its capabilities.

The team is split into two parts–

New Business – To hunt and win new clients.

Account Managers – After the first sales cycle with New Business, the client gets moved to a dedicated Account Manager who then grows the account.

The Role 

The Altran acquisition has opened so many doors within engineering and R&D. We are looking for an individual to connect with Altran clients, working alongside their account managers to break into some of the worlds largest companies. Your target ground will be in these global accounts with large organisations such as Airbus, Rolls Royce, Bosch Group, Volkswagen and Thales.

We sell a range of services including – Penetration Testing, Red Team Engagements, Embedded Systems Testing, Audit, Threat and Vulnerability Analysis, PCI assessments and many more.

Our sales team only has one KPI which is your target. We don’t have cold-calling or meeting KPI’s. We run the department on the basis that everybody is driven and wants to hit their targets to pick up their commission. How you do that is completely up to you.

IRM also attends lot of events which will almost always involve New Business as a lead generation opportunity. In the past year we’ve been to Vegas, San Francisco, London, Frankfurt, Toulouse and Dublin – so a passport is vital!

2020 is going to be an exciting year where we will be conducting a series of roadshows across Europe in Q1 and Q2 of next year. We will be looking to the sales team to build relationships with the group Global Account Managers and Key Account Managers in order that we can implant ourselves into the Operational Technology (OT) security testing of our existing global accounts.

Essential Skills and Criteria

  • Experienced in developing new business with targets over £1 million
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Natural closing instincts
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Happy to present technical information to high-level C-Suite members
  • Self-motivated, high achiever mentality
  • Comfortable with sales processes and technology such as CRM’s and MS Office
  • Ability and willing to travel both nationally and internationally for client meetings and events
