Whilst you may still be recovering from Christmas or concentrating on the “new year, new you”, the IRM team is focusing on what cybersecurity events to attend this year.
Some of these cybersecurity events are focused on specific sectors, and others are designed for the generalists among you. We look forward to seeing you there!
1. Cloud & Cyber Security Expo 2020
When: Wednesday 11th – Thursday 12th March 2020
Where: London ExCeL
Overview: With over 21,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors counted last year, this is one of the fastest growing cybersecurity events out there. CCSE aims to bring together cloud and cybersecurity professionals to face the challenges introduced by the latest technology and multi-cloud environments.
The show has different ‘content streams’ to ensure there’s content relevant to all visitors. The streams include ‘Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC)’, ‘Enterprise Cloud Security’, ‘IOT Security, Privacy and Trust’.
IRM will be presenting two thought-provoking sessions in the GRC stream this year and will be available to meet customers and prospects on Stand S678.

2. ISF Chapter Meetings and Annual Congress 2020
If you’re an ISF member, there are some brilliant Chapter Meetings coming up this year as well as the pièce de résistance, the Annual World Congress.
When/Where:
UK Summer Chapter Meeting – Thursday 25th June 2020 – Edinburgh, Scotland
31st ISF Annual World Congress – Saturday 14th November to Tuesday 17th November 2020 – Warsaw, Poland
Overview: These global events offer delegates an opportunity to discuss and find solutions to their cybersecurity challenges. The Chapter Meetings offer an intimate environment to learn from peers and leading industry experts. The Annual World Congress offers opportunity on a global scale to meet with like-minded professionals and take a deep-dive into the latest infosec trends and vendor services.
3. CyNam Events
When: Thursday 5th March 18:00 – 21:00
Where: Cheltenham Racecourse
Overview: CyNam (Cyber Cheltenham) is designed to develop local cyber technology innovation. The local-based organisation brings together various companies to provide unbiased advice and support.
Whilst details are yet to be released on the March event, previous events have involved a multitude of fantastic speakers including professionals from EDF Energy and the National Cyber Security Centre.
4. Mobile World Congress 2020
When: Monday 24th – Thursday 27th February 2020
Where: Fira Gran Via, Barcelona
Overview: Whilst not necessarily a security-focused event, this is definitely a topic of discussion at the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry. The event attracts thousands of industry professionals and journalists from around the world to share the sector’s latest innovations.
Based on the most recent news stories, Sony will be launching its new Xperia mobile phone and Vivo will be showcasing its new Apex 2020 concept phone.
Alongside the major telecommunications players will be Altran and IRM showcasing our services to the industry. Experts from Altran Group’s core service lines will be meeting with customers and IRM will be showcasing the World Class Center for Cybersecurity’s capabilities.
