Six boxes of mince pies and a Turkey crown later, 2019 is now in full swing. That’s why we are sharing a summary of the key infosec events we are attending this year and recommend to fellow security professionals.
We will be travelling across the globe showcasing our cybersecurity consultancy services and our governance, risk and compliance platform, SYNERGi. We aim to meet up with as many IRM customers as possible, as well as meeting new prospects who require our services.
February 2019
1. Mobile World Congress
When: Monday 25th – Thursday 28th February
Where: Fira Gran Via, Barcelona
Overview: The world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry. The event attracts thousands of industry professionals and journalists from around the world to share the sector’s latest innovations. 2. RSA Conference
When: Monday 4th – Friday 8th March
Where: Moscone Center, San Francisco
Overview: The RSA Conference brings all cybersecurity professionals together to provide collection knowledge sharing. This year’s theme focuses on “better” – working harder to find solutions. IRM will be attending to showcase our SYNERGi platform. Learn more about the RSA Conference.
3. Cloud and Cyber Security Expo
When: Tuesday 12th – Wednesday 13th March
Where: ExCel, London
Overview: The Cloud & Cyber Security Expo immerses you in the world of digital protection. It brings together leading suppliers and pioneers to provide delegates with endless services and solutions. In addition, over 150 speakers will offer invaluable insight into the latest industry trends and best practice. 4. ISF UK Spring Conference
When: Wednesday 6th – Thursday 7th March
Where: Regent Park, London
Overview: This event is free for representatives of all ISF Member organisations. It provides Members with a fantastic opportunity to meet other security professionals from leading organisations, explore good practice in protecting information and learn about the ISF’s research projects, tools and services. 5. Infosecurity Europe 2019
When: Tuesday 4th – Thursday 6th June
Where: Olympia, London
Overview: Europe’s ‘number one’ information security event featuring a comprehensive conference programme and over 400 exhibitors showcasing information security solutions and products. With over 19,500+ information security professionals set to attend, it’s a networking opportunity you can’t miss. 6. International Paris Air Show
When: Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd June
Where: Le Bourget, Paris
Overview: Whilst obviously not an infosec event, cybersecurity is increasingly becoming a key topic in the aviation and space industry, therefore it will have a strong presence at the show this year.
The International Paris Air Show is organised by the SIAE, a subsidiary of the French Aerospace Industries Association. The 53rd Show takes place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions, bringing together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. IRM will be attending the event alongside our parent company, Altran, one of the world’s largest engineering R&D organisations with links to the aerospace industry. 7. ISF 30th Annual World Congress
When: Saturday 26th – Tuesday 29th October
Where: Convention Centre, Dublin
Overview: In 2018, IRM were lucky enough to travel to Las Vegas to join other ISF members at the annual event. The 2019 Congress will be much closer to home, and so we hope to see many more European organisations attending. The global event offers attendees an opportunity to discuss and find solutions to current security challenges, and gain practical advice from peers and leading industry experts from around the world. 8. Risky Business Event
Date TBC
In recent years, IRM started producing “Risky Business” reports. We gather the thoughts and ideas of info security and cybersecurity professionals from across the globe with a simple survey. The survey results allow us to present back to the industry the latest thought-leading opinions and trends. Soon we will release the Risky Business Survey to begin collating trends for 2019. Additionally, we will announce the findings of the survey with an event.
