IRM recently held their annual SYNERGi User Group Meeting at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Oxfordshire on 20th June.
SYNERGi is IRM’s award winning Governance, Risk and Compliance platform, which has been in the market since 2012. The solution allows organisations to manage their information security risk more effectively and inexpensively.
The day was very positive with an audience of key SYNERGi customers attending from different industries all kindly taking time out of their diaries to ensure the day provided the team with the best feedback possible.
The day began with an introduction from IRM’s CEO, Charles White, who presented what the future holds following the acquisition of the company by Altran last year. The sessions soon got into full flow with a recap of the features from SYNERGi’s Head of Development, Antonio Terroba, who recapped on the last 12 months’ features and those that are planned to be developed over the next year. Demonstrations were held later on in the morning, with four of the latest features including SYNERGi’s brand new IT Security module, customisations, questionnaires and the new audit functionality all shown by members of the Dev team.
The day was broken up nicely with lunch and a tour of the Williams F1 Racing collection in the museum, with some good information on the history and cars on display being given by the Williams F1 Event Manager Simon Holmes.
The afternoon’s sessions moved away from the presentations and into three different groups where we had different IRM representatives facilitating a variety of topics to help our development team with ideas for the future. The aim of the day was to put clients in the driving seat, helping to define the product development roadmap. The team were fortunate to have a variety of really engaging conversations coming from these smaller group sessions.
One customer who attended the day, Matt Oborne, a Governance, Risk and Compliance Analyst at Whitbread said: “The team at IRM put on a great day which provided insight into upcoming features and additions to the platform. Having the opportunity to meet other users of SYNERGi and listen to the IRM team will benefit our own user experience moving forwards.”
Another customer who attended, Agata Zanoletty, from Amadeus IT Group SA said: “Thank you for hosting this event. It was really nice to meet more members of the team and also other users of SYNERGi. Also it’s great to see the fast improvements in SYNERGi and how customer feedback is important to you.”
IRM’s Software Director, Phillip Mason said: “the day was really important for collaboration and innovation and gives our customers the chance to engage with the team at a face to face level, whilst also giving them a day out at an excellent facility such as the Williams F1 Centre; which provides a nice break from their normal day to day.”
