What do Altran Group do?
For over 30 years, Altran has provided expertise in aerospace, automotive, defense, energy, finance, life science, railway and telecommunications. Since the Aricent acquisition, this leadership extends to semiconductors, digital experience and design innovation.
From designing innovative cabin solutions for connected aircrafts to collaborating with the Hyperloop UPV team to develop the ‘train of the future’, Altran’s capabilities are extensive.
Within Altran are “World Class Centers”, but what does this mean?
Altran’s World Class Centers bring together the best people in their fields to offer top-class services to clients worldwide.
By tapping into Altran’s diverse expertise, employing the services of a World Class Center enables organisations to benefit from tools and assets that already exist. Each World Class Center offers top-level experts and solution managers to help organisations achieve their goals.
How many Altran World Class Centers are there?
Altran currently operates ten World Class Centers worldwide and plan to have 15 by 2020. These distinct groups act as a catalyst to provide unique products and services to Altran Group clients.
The Centers range from Advanced Networks (designing and managing new network technologies), Software Frameworks (leveraging standard software and components to develop connected solutions) and Analytics & AI (using data science to achieve a competitive edge).
How is IRM part of the World Class Center initiative?
IRM joined Altran in 2017 to become the “World Class Center for Cybersecurity”. With the average cost of cybercrime up by over 27% in the last two years, this was a natural next step for Altran to help support clients across various sectors including automotive, aerospace and energy.
Organisations are increasingly looking for direction and guidance from cybersecurity specialists. The establishment of the World Class Center for Cybersecurity, with IRM at the hub, has allowed Altran to satisfy client demands for cybersecurity consultancy services including security testing, GRC management solutions and training.
The combination of IRM’s IT security knowledge from over 20 years in the cyber industry and Altran’s OT and engineering experience offers an unrivalled and unique cybersecurity service.
